Minds Matter of Chicago (MMC) is a 501(c)(3) organization.

Minds Matter is a volunteer-led organization. Almost all of our contributions are directed toward our students' success.

To cover the expenses of summer programs, study materials, and college applications, MMC must raise $10K per student per school year.

Our impact on the community is only as strong as the financial support we receive.

When we have enough funds, we can support every student.

In our current state, we are forced to turn away eager applicants from the program each year due to limited resources.

Make a direct impact in the community!

Every $2,500 donated makes college a closer reality for a student in the MMC program, by supporting the cost of their participation for one year. Your donation goes directly to books, supplies, and summer program tuition costs. We measure the effectiveness of donations by tracking SAT/ACT score improvement, vocabulary improvement, and increases in writing and critical thinking skills. Our ultimate benchmark is celebrating our students’ acceptance to summer academic programs and full-time, four-year colleges and universities.

Our students attend Chicago inner-city schools and come from families with an average combined household income of $25,562. Yet, they maintain an average 3.5/4.0 grade point average.
